Occupational therapy mental health services are available to individuals through contracts with behavioral health organizations and facilities that serve groups and populations of people with mental health diagnoses. Examples of services include home evaluations, living skills assessments and community-based therapy groups. Services may be covered with grant funds and offered at no charge to the person being served.
Occupational therapists provide assessments and consultation for individuals and organizations that serve people with IDD and/or MI diagnoses.
Examples of services include but are not limited to: environmental modifications, sensory assessments and recommendations, assistive technology and adaptive equipment consultation and compensatory strategies for engagement in activities of daily living activities.
